Today, we are going to take a “Posture of Peace” when we pray.

Posture is a short, audible fist bump to remind you, God is with you in everything. Together, we’re going to be emboldened to take a daily Posture of perfect peace.

1 Chronicles 16:11 says, “Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face always.” I just wanted to bring a brief reminder today and encouragement, when you pray you’re not just throwing your words into the wind. You are having a conversation with the creator of the universe. The Almighty God, the one who has always been and will always be. Just let that sink in. You are having a conversation with Almighty God. I mean, the fact that you and I even have access to that kind of conversation is a miracle. It is proof of God’s goodness, His kindness and His faithfulness. And too many people lack confidence in this kind of conversation. They lack confidence in prayer, because they think prayer is all about praying for an answer. Praying for a situational outcome. Instead of praying with the answer, about a situation.

There are so many options out there in the world right now when you’re trying to find an answer. When you’re trying to get an answer. And so for many people, prayer just becomes an option to all of that. It just becomes optional. You know, for example, when you’re pursuing only an answer only a situational outcome, many believe that talking to others, seeking others counsel is way more effective than talking to God.

I’ve had a lot of conversations with people over the years. I’m sure I have said some of these things, all these things before things like, well, I already prayed about that but, or don’t tell me to pray about it, because I’ve already tried that or when all the other options seem to run out. Well, I guess all we can do is pray about it. There are no other options, to being with, and talking with the answer. You don’t have just a consultation with the Most High God, you have a relationship with Him. And in prayer, you’re engaging together with Him in that divine relationship. And as you engage with Him, you are being made into His image and likeness. As you pray with them, you become more aware of His nature and His promises and His plan. And with that awareness, you can then pray in alignment with Him.

In prayer, our circumstances our emotions, our language, any fears or doubts that we come with come under the influence of who He is and an unshakeable trust and confidence is built. And we get to experience the joy and peace in believing that Romans 15:11 talks about. So today let’s not disregard prayer. Let’s not despise it. Let’s delight in prayer. Every day, no matter the circumstances, no matter the situation, you have the joy of being with and talking with the Almighty God.

The promise of perfect peace is found in Isaiah 26:3. In Hebrew, it is “shalom, shalom”, meaning complete wholeness. Nothing missing, nothing broken. This is who you are in Jesus. Because of Jesus, you are a living testimony of Jesus’s ultimate win. With every step you take today you’re putting Jesus’s victory on display and satan’s defeat on replay.
