You have abundant life flowing in you today, and it’s meant to flow through you. One way this abundant life flows through you is through your words.
Tell me in the comments: What words of life are you speaking today?
Today, we are going to take a “Posture of Peace” by speaking life-giving words.
Posture is a short, audible fist bump to remind you God is with you in everything. Together, we’re going to be emboldened to take a daily Posture of perfect peace.
In Proverbs 18:21, it says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue. And those who love it, will eat its fruits.” Now, in the last episode, we spoke about the power of the Word of God, which is now living in us, and how we can partner with His word in uprooting any lesser words spoken to us, about us, or over us. And I wanna continue that conversation in today’s episode, because there is so much life living in you and living in me. Romans 8:11, tells us that the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. I mean, just take a moment and let the magnitude of that truth sink in. In Colossians 2, it says, “In Christ, all the fullness of the Godhead lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness.” You are full of life today. And Jesus said in John 4, that is a well of life that never runs dry.
Now you may be feeling dry right now, you may be feeling frustrated with your circumstances or with the state of the world around you, you may be feeling tired or depleted or like you just don’t know if you have what it takes to move forward, but the truth is that for those who believe in Jesus, we have His abundant life flowing in us right now, no matter how we may feel. And this life that’s in you is meant to flow through you. And one way that this abundant life flows through you is through your words. So what are you saying today? What are you speaking over yourself? What are you speaking over others? What are you saying about your workplace, your community, your family, your nation? Now that’s not a rhetorical question, I’m really asking and I wanna know the answer ’cause I’m assuming it’s good things, I’m assuming that you are speaking life.
And so if you’re watching this, please let me know in the comments what words of life you are speaking today. Now, if you happen to be feeling some holy conviction right now about the words that you may have spoken in the past that were not life-giving, me too. So how about we repent together and change our minds, and start speaking differently today. You know, the Bible tells us, God’s mercy is new every morning, so it’s a fresh day, and the word of God living in you is far superior to any word of death or destruction that you may have spoken in the past.
Here’s how I’m practicing speaking life-giving words. First, I’m asking a question, I’m asking, where, who, what do I wanna bring life to today? And then I start talking. You know, the word of God in our mouths shifts atmospheres, it creates new realities, and it brings life to a world we’ve all been called to reach.
