Last Episode of 2020 – POSTURE Episode 141

Nov 20, 2020

I’ve decided to take a break from my formal episode schedule (currently 3 times a week) for the rest of the year, so I can plan and prepare for next year.

Even though I will not be releasing the normal 3 episodes a week, I will be popping in from time to time because I would love for you to be involved in helping me create what 2021 could look like for the Posture community.

I know there are people in this community who share my desire to leverage the digital landscape to disciple nations ****and I want to help YOU do that in 2021.

Posture is a short, audible fist bump to remind you, God is with you in everything. Together, we’re going to be emboldened to take a daily Posture of perfect peace.

So today’s episode is different. This is more of a family time. This is an update for the Posture community. We are almost at the end of November. The holiday season is upon us. We have lots of Holy days ahead of us, as we’re about to enter into the last little bit of 2020. And so I wanted you to know that I’ve decided to take a break from my formal episode schedule, which right now is three times a week, for the rest of the year. And I’m doing that so that I can plan and prepare for 2021. And I’m encouraged by this. Even Jesus took time off. Even Jesus took time to be away from the crowds, and recharge and connect with His father. And it didn’t seem to negatively affect His ministry at all.

You know, I’m learning that in order for us to go the distance in all God has called us to, we must trust God, not just with our work, but also with our rest. And I know it’s hard for a lot of us to take a rest, to take a break, but I wanted to put that into practice, and so I’m doing that by taking this break. Now, I want you to know that there are some really exciting plans in the works for Posture for 2021. And one thing I know about slower, restful seasons is that creativity flows like a rushing river in those seasons. So even though I will not be releasing the normal three episodes a week, I will be popping in from time to time, connecting with you because I would love your feedback and your ideas. I would love for you to be involved in helping me create what 2021 could look like for the Posture community.

Posture launched in February of this year. We are now 141 episodes in, we have over 20,000 people in our community, across our social and podcast platforms. And we’re just getting started, which is pretty exciting to think about. And I know that there are people in this community, some of you I’ve talked to in my DMS, who share my desire to leverage the digital landscape to disciple nations. And I wanna help you do that, so be on the lookout for more details about that, and what we have planned for 2021.

Just one practical note because only the Lord knows what the algorithms will be like on social media next month. If you don’t wanna miss any of those updates, I do have an email list that I send to regularly with news and updates. And those on the email list are always the first to know any Posture news, so if you’re interested in joining that so you don’t miss anything, go to Lindsayvanzyl.com and sign up on the homepage. There’s a subscribe section, you just put your name and email, it’s super easy, then you’re in and we’ll stay connected ’cause I would love your ideas and I would love for you to help me create what 2021 looks like for Posture.

Thank you. Really, thank you for taking a Posture of piece with me this year. I treasure this community, I treasure your encouragement, and I’m so glad that we connected this year through Posture. I wanna declare Isaiah 55:12-13 over you, as you finish out 2020 strong and enter 2021 full of hope. It says, “For you shall go out. Enjoy and be led forth in peace. The mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the cyprus. Instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle. And it shall make a name for the Lord, an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.”

The promise of perfect peace is found in Isaiah 26:3. In Hebrew, it is “shalom, shalom”, meaning complete wholeness. Nothing missing, nothing broken. This is who you are in Jesus. Because of Jesus, you are a living testimony of Jesus’s ultimate win. With every step you take today you’re putting Jesus’s victory on display and satan’s defeat on replay.
