“Therefore I recall to my mind,
therefore I have hope.
The Lord’s love and kindness indeed never cease,
for His compassions never fail.
They are new every morning,
great is your faithfulness.”

Today, we are going to take a “Posture of Peace” by starting every day fresh.
Posture is a short, audible fist bump to remind you, God is with you in everything. Together, we’re going to be emboldened to take a daily Posture of perfect peace.
So we’ve been talking about overcoming negativity in the last couple episodes and my friend and mentor, Graham Cooke, he lives with a powerful revelation on this subject. I’ve shared it before in past episodes, but it’s so worth repeating because literally every time I hear Graham share this revelation, I gain something fresh from it. And I’m currently putting this revelation into practice because I want it to be my permanent lifestyle. Graham shared about this revelation in an online class that we hosted together earlier this month. And I wanna share that clip with you today.
Constantly throughout the word is this whole idea of fresh every day, new every day. We are so used… Negative people accumulate negativity. It adds, they add to it every single day and people who are not living in the new man, that’s all we’ve got to look forward to. We carry things over into the next day. And so we accumulate negatives, problems and so on, and that’s not the way God wants us to live. And there’s a reference to it in Lamentations 3.
So my turn to read the Bible, Lamentations 3:21, “Therefore I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. The Lord’s love and kindness indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness.” And I love that whole thing. I like the lifestyle of just living one day at a time, just Jesus said sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Let’s just make sure you’re okay today. And then tomorrow’s another day. So it’s like live one day at a time. A new every morning. That means, when you wake up in the morning, you have an opportunity just to start every day fresh. And I love that because I know that some situations might go on for several weeks. So let’s just say it goes on for three weeks, 21 days, you get the chance to be new every single day. And that’s how we beat the enemy.
It’s like we stay fresher, longer. Every day is fresh. But then what happens at the end of the day, you get to hand any stress, any difficulty, any negative thing, you get to hand it over to the Holy Spirit. So it’s like cleaning up, you know. And then you ask him for a good night’s sleep. So that the next day you start fresh. You don’t wake up in the morning thinking about yesterday and the things that didn’t go right, or anything. You start fresh, every single day. I practice this life and it is gorgeous. So even if a situation goes on, I’ve had, my record is I’ve had over 60. I think it was 63 first days in a situation. When at the end of 63 days, with this particular aspect of warfare at the end of the 63 days, I was fresher than when I started. I like that because our freshness defeats the enemy. When he can’t accumulate negativity, he’s like, he’s going mental thinking, “How do I get my power back over them?” And the answer is, we’re partnering with Jesus. We are not partnering with you. So when we partner with Jesus, you’re gonna feel the effect of those three plus me against you. It’s a no brainer.
The promise of perfect peace is found in Isaiah 26:3, In Hebrew. It is shalom, shalom, meaning complete wholeness, nothing missing, nothing broken. This is who you are in Jesus, because of Jesus. You are a living testimony of Jesus’s ultimate win with every step you take today you’re putting Jesus’s victory on display and satan’s defeat on replay.
