Mentioned in this episode: Episode 48 “Praying Prayers that Get Answered

Transcript

Today, we are going to take a “Posture of Peace” by declaring victory over our battles.

Posture is a short, audible fist bump to remind you, God is with you in everything. Together, we’re going to be emboldened to take a daily posture of perfect peace.

A couple of months ago, I found out that a dear friend of mine was entering into a pretty intense battle with sickness and so I crafted a prayer for her that I shared with her, and I also pray over her often to stand with her in this battle as she receives the victory of Jesus in her body. Now on Episode 48, I talked a little bit about why and how I craft a prayer. And so if you haven’t listened to that episode, please do. I will put a link to it in description of this episode, so that you can easily access it. I like to craft prayers because it keeps me intentional and it keeps me remained aligned with the promises of God and not so caught up in the problems and the details of the battle itself.

Romans 8 reminds us that we have a divine prayer team Jesus, and the Holy Spirit and they’re praying for us and with us. And so with the truth of Romans 8 planted in my heart, you know my devotional life totally shifted away from just praying for an answer to praying with the answer. And I have since… You know I shared this with my friend a few months ago, and since then, I’ve actually shared this crafted prayer with several of my friends who are facing battles of their own right now. And so I wanted to share this prayer with you guys, my Posture friends, the Posture community. And I wrote it in the first person so that you can declare it over yourself. And I will place a transcript to this in the description of this episode as well. You can click on that link, you can print it, you can share it with whoever you want to. And I’m also gonna put in there a list of the Scriptures that I leaned into when I was crafting this prayer. As I pray, I just invite you to relax and receive this prayer. Just soak it in today.

“Heavenly Father, I thank You because You are my light and my salvation. I fear nothing.

When the evil one comes to destroy me, he is the one who turns back and runs away in fear. My heart will not be afraid.

No matter what rises up against me, I remain confident in You.

God, You are the one I crave. In Your presence is fullness of joy and I know that Your presence is always with me. Therefore, I always have joy. You have promised to never leave me nor forsake me. I thank You.

You have lifted my head above my enemies. I see You. God I delight in You today. No weapon formed against me will prosper.

Today, I am letting the peace of Jesus rule and direct my heart by letting His words and the testimonies of His goodness bubble up in me and cause great delight in me.

God, Your joy is strengthening me. I thank You. You are doing great things in me and I will be glad.

I remain confident of this. I will see your goodness here in the land of the living. So in every situation, I look eagerly for You Lord. I am filled with great expectation for what You are going to do in me and through me.

Holy Spirit, You are my helper and my comforter guide me in all truth.

Jesus, I know You fight for me, so I will rest and rejoice in You, I rejoice in You. I will not strive I will receive.

God, keep me in your perfect peace. I trust You.

I declare radiant health in my body.

I declare vitality in my mind and in my body.

And with great confidence, I receive every promise of victory because the authority given to me by Jesus Christ. Amen. “

The promise of “Perfect Peace” is found in Isaiah 26:3. In Hebrew, it is “shalom, shalom.” Meaning, complete wholeness. Nothing missing, nothing broken. This is who you are in Jesus. Because of Jesus, you are a living testimony of Jesus’s ultimate win. With every step you take today, you’re putting Jesus’s victory on display and satan’s defeat on replay.
